Najviše nagrada pokupila 'Igra prijestolja', ali neupitna pobjednica večeri je Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Čak 32 nominacije, no samo 12 osvojenih Emmy nagrada, između kojih se nalazi i ona za najbolju seriju. HBO uspješnica "Igra prijestolja" odnijela je pobjedu na ovogodišnjoj dodjeli televizijskih nagrada te je tako četvrti put za redom proglašena najboljom dramskom serijom, iako je finale serije podijelilo obožavatelje i zaradilo kritike.

Glumac Peter Dinklage kući je odnio svoj četvrti Emmy, osvojio ga je za najbolju sporednu ulogu u dramskoj seriji, dok je glumac Billy Porter proglašen najboljim glumcem za ulogu u seriji "Pose" koja je odnijela nagradu za najbolju humorističnu seriju. 50-godišnji glumac Billy Porter prvi je otvoreni i tamnoputi homoseksualac koji je osvojio Emmyja. Na dodjelu je došao u Michael Kors odijelu ukrašenom sa čak 100 tisuća kristalića.

Nagrada najbolje glumice pripala je Jodie Comer za ulogu u seriji "Killing Eve".

Najboljom miniserijom proglašena je serija "Černobil" koja je osvojila i nagrade za najbolju režiju i najbolji scenarij za mini seriju ili televizijski film. Za najbolji televizijski film nagradu je pokupila serija "Black Mirror: Bandersnatch".

Sian Clifford i Phoebe Waller-Bridge iz 'Fleabag'

U oštroj konkurenciji Amazonova serija "Fleabag" je trijumfirala s nagradama za najbolju humorističnu seriju, najbolji scenarij, najbolju režiju i najbolju glumicu (Phoebe Waller-Bridge). "Pa ovo već postaje smiješno", kazala je uzbuđeno glumica i producentica Phoebe Waller-Bridge nakon što se treći put popela na pozornicu kako bi preuzela nagradu. Razočarenje je doživjela glumica Julia Louis-Dreyfus i serija HBO-a "Veep" koja je ove godine prošla bez kipića.
