Los Angeles, CA - Beyonce releases new music video for Spirit from The Lion King soundtrack featuring her daughter Blue Ivy and scenes from the movie. Beyonce has unveiled the new song and video just three days before the eagerly anticipated film hits movie theatres. And the singer/actress, who portrays Nala in the new adaptation, also features her seven year old daughter Blue Ivy in the music video. The music video is set against an African backdrop with Beyonce singing the song in various exotic locations. The video cuts between footage from new The Lion King movie and footage from the music video set in an African desert. The video focuses on Beyonce, sitting in the middle of the desert alone in a flowing lavender gown and a matching bustier. Her young daughter Blue Ivy also wears a matching lavender gown, walking up to her mother just as the shot from The Lion King is featured, where the young Simba (Donald Glover) steps into the larger footstep of his father Mufasa (James Earl Jones). As Beyonce breaks into the chorus, she is seen in an elegant royal blue grown, standing near a waterfall while spreading her arms wide. She's also seen sitting next to her daughter Blue Ivy in the desert, surrounded by a number of background singers, wearing red with matching red hair. She then switches between a number of different wardrobe options, including a black and white pantsuit with matching cap, a hot pink dress with ruffles and a bright yellow bodysuit.
